Occlusal splints (also known as ‘night guards’) are removable dental mouth guards custom fitted to the occlusal surfaces of the teeth in either the upper or lower arches.
Do I need a night guard?
They are commonly used to protect teeth and restorations, stabilise occlusion, especially in people with night time clenching, grinding habits (nocturnal bruxism) and to reduce pain associated with temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMD).
